Being a Parent of a Young Child Isn't Easy

I have eight children, and so have been through the sleepless nights, toddler tantrums, and juggling work and family.  I know that it isn’t easy, which is why it is important to look after yourself as well as your family. 

As a parent, you feel a mixture of emotions from positive and happy, to worried and frustrated.  You may wonder where you went since you became a mum.  You may miss parts of your life before becoming a mum, or feel that you’re not coping as well as other parents, or feel that you are struggling to juggle it all.

You want to enjoy those early years, you want to be the best mum that you can be and you want to feel more empowered and confident.

While it might be tempting to focus your energies on your child, their behaviour and needs, who you really need is  yourself.  If you feel better about yourself as a person and a mum, you will enjoy life, be calmer and more positive.

As well as looking after your child, it is so important to look after yourself too. 

Working on your own self-love, mindset and personal growth, doesn’t only benefit you, but it also benefits your whole family.  When you are restored, resilient and have self-worth, you are more able to support your family and your new energy will positively affects those around you.

The best thing you can do for your family is to do work on yourself.  You deserve it and they deserve it.
